Dear Friends, Jill is slowly reaching the end of her time with us. Early today she began to have a fever. Also she was experiencing more and more pain. Now she is under heavy sedation. Her family is with her. While she was still awake they are able to have a little time with her still. She is resting right now again. The family is having an all night vigil at her side. They are playing music from her ipod. She has a particular song I mentioned before called "Imagine'. I am sure she is listening to it now and perhaps beginning to experience that incredible walk from this earthly place, to the heavenly gates. I am getting texts through the night to update all her dear friends. Read the comments from the last week or so. So many heart warming tributes to Jill.

Lorette, Dennis and I have been out of the contry for 2 weeks. We were able to get in touch w Casey ad Dennis is honored to be chosen to head her memorial.

The song you are mentioning is "I Can Only Imagine" and it is one of my favorites...Lyrics go something like this, I can only imagine
What it will be like
When I walk
By your side

I can only imagine
What my eyes will see
When your face
Is before me
I can only imagine

I can only imagine

Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in honour of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine

I can only imagine

I can only imagine
When that day comes
When I find myself
Standing in the Son

I can only imagine
When all I will do
Is forever
Forever worship You
I can only imagine

I can only imagine

Jill is forever in my heart...

Daniel Bradford (librarian at Foothill High):

The world will be a poorer place without our dear friend Jill. Whether she was in good health or bad, Jill was always a person who was full of life and full of light. I cannot really think of a world without such a wonderful person in it.

Jill is such a bright, caring person who made life better for thousands of students and teachers. Jill has touched so many lives and we will not forget her.

Jill was always one of my special buddies on campus; we worked together so many times to help the students, and Jill was always looking for ways to do more, even if it meant more work for her. Jill did the work of two or three people, and lightened the burden of everyone in her life. Some people have big shoulders and take on more than their share of the load, and that was Jill.

Best wishes for courage for Jill and for her family. Jill and I often talked about what her children were doing as they grew up and moved on with their adult lives, and Jill always made it clear that no matter, she loved her children without condition and without limitation.

Knowing Jill Brierly was a special gift. I wish Jill had more time, but knowing her as I do, I also know that Jill will remain brave to the end.

Jill, you will always be a part of the Foothill family.

Dear Brierly family, We are praying and loving your family through this journey. For myself and our Crosswinds Family,
We have been touched, blessed, and broken hearted at the recent turn of events. In all things we know God is good. Jill is a tower of strength and a lighthouse to so many. I loved visiting her the other day and she was asking about the High School Houseboat Trip and particular students. Her concerns are always others, particularly students. Love you Jill.
